On October 29, 2023, world renowned poets Ellen Bass, Jane Hirshfield, Marie Howe, Danusha Laméris; and musician Jami Sieber will come together in a live virtual event entitled From Tribe and Fire 2023 . The event will benefit the S.H.E. College Fund, a US nonprofit organization providing full college scholarships to young women of Narok County, Kenya who have had the courage to refuse harmful traditional practices such as Female Genital Mutilation/Cutting and Early, Forced, Child Marriage.
